Hans Marsen, a current resident of Elizabethtown in Kentucky, lived in Atwater for 26 years, (until 2006), and operated the only professional Certified chimney service in Merced County.
Hans was involved in the community, including a 4 year term on the Atwater City Planning Commission.
He got involved in the Internet in it's earliest stages thanks to the wonderful
guidance of Gilbert Aguiles who operated an Internet Service called Elite
Net. In fact Hans built the first ever official Internet site for the City of Atwater.
One of Hans' favorite occupations was aerial photography. That is the reason why this site will include many of the aerial views from before 2006.
Asked if he ever considered returning to Atwater, Hans stated that it was not out of the question. It would very much depend upon the Real Estate market and the ability to sell the house he's currently living in.
