The face of Fresno is changing fast. I don't often find reason to visit the place, other than using the Airport when travelling back East.

I did have ocasion, however, to go there in order to take some aerial photographs for a company. I could not pass up the opportunity of taking a look at the changes that have taken place, and what better way than from the air. It gives one a whole new perspective.

Unfortunately it turned out not to be the clearest of days. The Valley's famous smog was effecting distant views.

Everything appears fine when looking down, but whenever I tried a long distance shot, the effect of particulates in the air is to eliminate color and detail.

I will include a couple of pictures that will illustrate the problem, and you will see what I mean.

I am not well versed with Fresno's different buildings and landmarks. I don't know which hospital is which, and that is why you'll find I don't name all the places in these views.

I have sized the pictures at 1,000 pixels wide. This means that while you will get a great view, it will need patience as the pages load. All the photos are copyright: Hans Marsen 2005.
